Ascension is in the Air

Can you feel it too? Can you sense Ascension will be the next big step for this planet? We've already taken the first step by producing this album. After a necessary creative hiatus and some essential stripping of equipment we went back to materialize what our Higher Selves had been drawing out for us. We used a lot of field recordings even to create sounds that seem to originate from a totally different source. Also for the first time we started to record instruments in natural environments like forests. During the recording process we regularly visited sacred sites and ancient burial mounts. Places where the dead in antiquity were allowed to safely transition to other realms. This album is about transition too but while still being very much alive.

Masters finished and new stuff sneaking in

We've just completed the mastering process of our upcoming album 'Ascension'. The process of knitting and stitching all soundscapes together can now begin. This is one of the most exciting moments for us because now we can really get submersed in the overall feel and energy of the album.

Meanwhile, since a couple of weeks, we've been sculpting new sounds for our respective solo efforts. Well solo......Sort of, because we interchange so much inspiration and so many sounds, this term seems a bit out of place. Anyway Apollonius will be making an album that will consist in huge part of vocals and bamboo flutes while 33 Tetragammon's soundscapes seem to tend towards drones. This is what the big Universe has presented. And you know us: we're just slaves following musical orders! But seriously: we are merely channeling what's being given to us, manifesting a reality that already exists at some level. And we wouldn't have it any other way despite ego aspects stampeding for more control.

Ascension in sight

Our upcoming album will be called 'Ascension'. The musical part is almost finished. It's the most organic sounding album we've made so far. We've been recording sounds near sacred sites a couple of kilometers away from where we live in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Upon hearing the soundscapes it will feel like you can actually touch the trees and feel the wind. The whole album seems to be a peculiar mix of the outer worldly with the earthly organic.

Back in the saddle for chapter two

Since a couple of weeks Apollonius is making music again. A new potential has emerged for a new album. The excitement is back and we've delved deeper into software we already had (Absynth & Kontakt). Apollonius had a dream about this but at the time wasn't sure what to make of it. This next album will be very organic with lots of field recordings. As you might know 33 Tetragammon has hardly any equipment or software left but he doesn't experience this as any hindrance at all. Quite the opposite: he feels it's more of a relief than a burden. So far the creativity flows very easily and right now we've got all the pieces of the puzzle here. It's just a matter of letting it all fall together. Yeah, that's how easy it can be.....

New album: The Abyss

We're glad to announce the release of our latest album 'The Abyss'. (as of now only available through Bandcamp and Musiczeit, other stores will follow within days). It's the last of a series of six collaborative albums. It's been little over two years since the release of the first one. During these two years the potential for each album had been presented by the Universe very clearly. Right now, after we had jumped in the abyss, there's a sort of void. There's is no potential on the horizon yet for a new album. Right now 33 Tetragammon has hardly any equipment left and Apollonius isn't interested in making one bit of music. And it doesn't matter. Maybe a new potential comes around the corner, maybe this is it. We still have some exciting stuff for the future: we'll be releasing our concert registration of E Day 2009 probably somewhere this year (which has some comparison with Resonating Earth but more tribal and ancient in atmosphere) and also some video's we made that visually reflect the consciousness we've been trying to convey sonically. So far we'd like to thank the people that have shared their feelings of the effect our music has had on them. We see all of your spirits back in the void.

Our music is now available from Bandcamp. There you have a choice to listen to the entire albums at 128 kb/s. When you purchase the music there's different formats to download such as FLAC, mp3 (320 kb/s), AAC and more. The whole Bandcamp experience has been very artist friendly so far and very easy to use. Besides that of all stores offering our music they pay us the biggest percentage.

download from Musiczeit not any other store (like i-Tunes) for now. There's been a distribution error (from our distributor) and only part of the album (13:53 min.) is now available at the digital stores. This will be
fixed within a few weeks I hope.

Creativity pushed to the next level

Divine Intervention once again pushed me forward to a new threshold of creativity.

My role in the process of creation had to evolve from an active state to a totally passive one .

In other words, being an instrument for the universal creative flow, and only create when it is needed,

regardless of the wants, urges and emotions of the involved separate selves.

Going beyond, into uncharted territories (both creatively and spiritually, since those two are always linked in our music), and this feels very exciting and challenging indeed.

From the astral realm to the physical realm

And there it is: 'Transformation of separate self' our latest astral-travel-caught-in-a-digital-box is out.
For now it's only available on Musiczeit but i-Tunes, Amazon, CD Baby etc. will follow within the next weeks. A few more (and longer) soundclips than Musiczeit offers will follow shortly on this site.
The album consists of seven distinct parts all glued together to form one single soundscape. It's a mix of physical modeling, bamboo flutes, classical guitar, deep drones and an ounce of Atlantean quantum particles stitched on each note in a non-localized singularity vector field. Don't let the latter mix up the lattice of your carefully constructed persona too much.

Movies moving in

For a long time we've been pondering about adding different visual elements to our music.
But also other elements, like scents, could enhance our music so that the energy and consciousness we try to convey can reach our audience through many senses at once. Right now we are envisioning and imagining the possibilities of adding filmed material to our music. We believe the cinematic nature of our music suits itself really well for that. I (Apollonius) am in the middle of choosing the right camera to purchase that can do the job of filming in low light conditions. I have many ideas of what to film (ancient buildings, symbols) and drew a lot of inspiration from the collaborative movie from Daniel Colvin and Robert Rich, 'Atlas Dei'. Right now my ego is still a bit confused as to where to start and how to materialize such an undertaking but I also know when I have trust in the process and take a step back it will all unfold in front of my eyes. In other words: let go and let the Universe in.

New album coming up!

We have a new album in the pipeline. It's called 'Transformation of separate self'. It will consist of only one track although many parts are identifiable from each other. Like our previous albums these separate parts will be linked together by fade-ins and fade-outs. We are very pleased with this one especially because of some new mastering techniques that have been applied. We'll keep you posted when it'll hit the ethers and of course the astral realm.
